This is no different with our apprentices. This role includes on and off the job training, leading to the achievement of a Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship, including a CII Certificate in Insurance.

The role is within our Large Loss team which handles all of NFU Mutual's Personal Injury claims that are reserved at £750,000 or more. You will be required to provide highly effective paralegal support as part of a team that is recognised as being one of the best in the business.

You will:
  • Review accident circumstances, liability, costs and causation to ensure the facts of the claim are established and evaluated.
  • Deal with opponents, experts and statutory bodies by email, telephone and in writing.
  • Assist senior colleagues with the administration of higher value claims by arranging conference calls with Claims Investigators, counsel and all experts, reserve liability experts (e.g. accident reconstruction), instructing regulatory lawyers, medical experts, obtaining medical records, apply for and assess police reports, to review and prepare chronologies.
  • Provide administration assistance in activities to support claims specialists handling Personal Injury claims, Ministry of Justice and Fast Track matters.
  • Maintain accurate financial / reserve / risk management information on claims and pursue recovery of losses.
  • Support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of tailored processes and procedures.
  • You will also have the opportunity to work on strategic projects aimed at controlling costs and reducing claims lifecycle.
