Duties to include:
  • Working with end customers to develop technical solutions to their challenges
  • Working with in house development teams to add features and functionality to our growing product portfolio
  • Development of new Apps and integrations with REST APIs
  • Provisioning of new customer installs and services
  • Liaising with Vendors, Carriers and other departments to provide co-ordination for all local gateway issues and activities
  • Provide out of hours support cover on a roster basis
  • 1nd & 2nd Line Support for End Customers, Resellers & Wholesale
  • Must be able to work as part of a team

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of Javascript, C#, HTML/CSS
  • Advantageous to have, some understanding in VOIP / SIP telephony applications
  • Understanding of computers and networks in general
  • Competence in the Microsoft suite of Office products.
  • BPSS Security Screening will be carried out by Ciptex

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE maths / English - minimum level of grade 'C' (or level 5)
  • Minimum of 104 UCAS Tariff Points at A2 (Grades BCC or BTEC DMM)
  • A good level of education is required - qualifications in Computing a definite advantage

Future prospects

  • On the job training is included and time is taken out on a weekly basis to develop apprentice's knowledge and skills, these are carried out in the form of internal workshops

Things to consider

Must be able to commute into Manchester City Centre daily and be able to work, following your probationary period, between the hours of 8am to 6pm.

You may be required from time to time to work flexible shifts depending on the cover of the rest of the team.

You may be required from time to time to visit customers sites up and throughout the UK and abroad. All expenses paid for.

There will be times during your apprenticeship where you will be working under pressure and to tight deadlines to deliver projects, this is an important quality we will be looking for.
