At Lawtonash we are experts in providing bespoke training courses, health and safety coaching packages, and apprenticeships to the construction and utilities industries.

We have trained around 15,000 individuals nationally during the eight years we have been in operation, and have recently expanded to include a brand new Utility Equipment Hire service under our name.

As the organisation grows we are looking to offer a fantastic opportunity for two apprentices to come and join us and be part of our success.


Vacancy Description
It’s an exciting time at Lawtonash. Having established themselves as leaders in the field of health and safety training to the construction industry, they have recently launched a utility equipment hire service too.

As the organisation has expanded, a fantastic opportunity has presented itself for two apprentices to come in and grow with the organisation.

You will be supporting both the training and equipment hire services though will most likely be asked to focus on one of these areas whilst maintaining a good understanding and ability to support the other.

This is an exciting role where you will have a real scope to make it your own and be offered more responsibilities in line with your progress. Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:

– Dealing with incoming and outgoing post

– Assisting with social media

-Making customer contact through both e-mail and telephone

– Maintaining up to date training records

– Preparing training packs for distribution on courses

– Quality Control – ensuring that Trainers following relevant procedures

– Applying for Cards and Certificates for trainees upon achievement of their qualifications

– Maintaining accurate Hire Equipment registers

– Filing / Archiving documentation as appropriate


Wage
£180 per week (based on £4.50 per hour)


Hours
40 paid hours per week:

Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 or 08:00 – 16:00

Includes an half – hour (paid) lunch break each day


Skills Required
The successful candidate should have good communication skills and be comfortable with using the telephone.

The successful candidate should also have a basic understanding of key ICT skills, including Excel.


Personal Qualities
The successful candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.

It should also be noted that dogs are present on site, so this role would not be suitable to those with allergies.

Access to a car is not essential for this role though applicants should be aware that the setting of the office is slightly remote, so should take care to note the location when applying.


Qualifications Required
Maths – GCSE Grade D / 3 minimum
English – GCSE Grade C / 4 minimum


Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.


Important Information
