Employer Description

Established in 1994, this company is now one of the UK’s largest Musical Instrument shops with a huge range of products for sale.

Their online musical instrument store provides musical instruments and accessories to musicians and educational establishments.

They are now seeking an enthusiastic new member for their friendly administration team

 

Description of Vacancy

An Apprentice Warehousing Assistant opportunity in a busy warehouse.

Dealing with incoming and outgoing goods and picking and packing items accurately and quickly. Dealing with returned items.

Picking and packing parcels within allocated time scales

Dealing with incoming stock from suppliers.

Unloading containers and checking the stock is correct

Participating in stock checks

Basic computer skills – printing off labels etc

Keeping the warehouse safe by ensuring a clean and tidy working environment – no boxes/clutter in walkways

Ensuring procedures are followed in respect of problem orders

Ensure Quality Control standards are maintained.

Identify areas for improvement in own performance and takes ownership for developing own skills.

 

Wage

£150 per week

 

Hours

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Be able to work as part of a team

Have good attention to detail and be accurate

Able to work at a fast pace

Adaptable to change

A knowledge of musical instruments and accessories would be beneficial

Basic computer skills

Qualifications Required

Maths and English GCSE A*-D

 

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
