The Role:

An 8-10 week summer internship working as a product design tester on the electronics and embedded software of industrial measurement and analytical instrumentation as part of the product design and development team of a leading global multinational engineering corporation.

• Setting up and executing validation tests to given specifications on new electronics products and products undergoing introduction of electronics or software design changes.

• Using a range of automatic, semi-automatic and manual electronic product testing techniques, including validating products in real usage scenarios.

• Identifying and developing specifications for additional test cases, with the support of senior team members, to increase the test coverage of product behaviour or performance for various usage scenarios.

• Collecting and evaluating test result data versus expected criteria.

• Complying with the company procedures for quality, safe working, ethics and integrity, environment and risk management.

Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Basic understanding and use in practice of electronic test and measuring equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, waveform generators etc).

• Basic familiarity in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.

• Be able to work for 8-10weeks in full time industrial employment from July to September.
