With this Apprenticeship role you have an opportunity to drive this disruption behind the future of Buildings and Cities. You will join a team with a rare mix of diverse and exceptional talents - from engineering, computer science, architecture, maths, physics and biology. A team that combines a strong technical focus with innovation, creativity and an entrepreneur spirit. The dynamic and evolving nature of our work requires us to continue to explore, develop and apply new technologies, which is what this internship offers.

We are interested in candidates who are dynamic, enthusiastic and organised to work independently across all aspects of projects from inception to delivery. The work will be highly varied and challenging. It will involve advanced data analytics, predictive modelling simulations as well as software development. You will be working alongside our consultants, analysts and software developers on live projects and software platforms.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Strong data analytics, visualisation and statistical analysis skills
  • Experience within graphics, 3D modelling or GIS environment will be desirable

Personal qualities

  • Confident, proactive character with strong communication skills
  • An ability to think "outside the box" and solve problems of a multidisciplinary nature

Desired qualifications

Apprenticeship applicants will typically have:
  • A Level BCC or;
  • BTEC National Diploma DMM or;
  • Access to HE qualifications with 9 Distinctions 36 Merits or;
  • Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 112 UCAS points
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)

Things to consider

Majority of the role will be office based but the candidate should be prepared to travel to our other offices and the occasional site visit or client meeting (supported by other members of the team).

Our projects often have short timescales and require fast-turnarounds, agile approach and collaborative teamwork.
