Responsible for the day to day materials co-ordination of Yellow Rail's materials activities, in accordance with the company'smanagement system and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • To co-ordinate materials for Yellow Rail's project and operational activities in accordance with customer requirements and Yellow Rail procedures
  • Act as the primary day to day interface contact for suppliers
  • Coordinate, purchase, inspect and expedite flow of materials, according to project and production plan requirements
  • Identify and select suitable suppliers in accordance with company procedures
  • Conduct supplier approval and audits in accordance with Yellow Rail's supplier management processes
  • Manage company stock levels in accordance with the project and production plans, usage requirements and lead times
  • Manage material safety and quality in accordance with the company's QHS&E policy
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports in accordance with the company's reporting procedures
  • Liaise closely with Engineering to ensure materials are management and controlled in accordance with Yellow Rail engineering practices
  • Provide feedback to the Operations team to ensure continuous improvement of materials activities
  • Manage materials in accordance with company's materials management processes

Desired qualifications

  • A minimum of grade 5+ at GCSE (or equivalent) in English, maths and 3other subjects
