Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- To co-ordinate materials for Yellow Rail's project and operational activities in accordance with customer requirements and Yellow Rail procedures
- Act as the primary day to day interface contact for suppliers
- Coordinate, purchase, inspect and expedite flow of materials, according to project and production plan requirements
- Identify and select suitable suppliers in accordance with company procedures
- Conduct supplier approval and audits in accordance with Yellow Rail's supplier management processes
- Manage company stock levels in accordance with the project and production plans, usage requirements and lead times
- Manage material safety and quality in accordance with the company's QHS&E policy
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports in accordance with the company's reporting procedures
- Liaise closely with Engineering to ensure materials are management and controlled in accordance with Yellow Rail engineering practices
- Provide feedback to the Operations team to ensure continuous improvement of materials activities
- Manage materials in accordance with company's materials management processes
