As an apprentice working within the Security Operations Centre you will work closely with our Qualified engineers. Working on all aspects of IT security such as:
  • Endpoint security
  • Remove mobility barriers by giving network access to your team without risk of breach
  • Email and web
  • Stop phishing, business email compromise, ransomware and spam.
  • Advanced Malware Protection
  • Continuously monitor, detect and remove malware, leaving it nowhere to hide.
  • Network visibility & Enforcement
  • Gain full control of both Axonex and customer networks - who, what, where, why and when
  • Next Generation Firewalls & Intrusion Prevention Systems
  • Keep your team and customers in the loop and intruders outside
  • Cloud Security
  • See and control SaaS apps, secure cloud connections, and detect threats in the public cloud

During your apprenticeship you will also work within other technology teams where you will learn at first hand both in our labs and on live systems; Routing and Switching, Wi-Fi, Data Centre, Voice call managers, voice recording, and video conferencing. These secondments will provide you the necessary knowledge of other technologies which will support you learning as a Cyber Security Apprentice.

Desired qualifications

Five GSCES A*-C/9-4 including maths and English plus a technology subject.
2 A levels in STEM subjects or an IT apprenticeship at level 3.

Future prospects

Cisco Certification up to CCIE.
