Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing quality data analysis support to the AEB Team
  • Identify, collect and migrate data to and from a range of internal and external systems
  • Manipulate and link different data sets as required to report on AEB budgets
  • Interpret and apply the organisations data and information security standards, policies and procedures to data management activities
  • Collect and compile data from a variety of different sources and using various methods such as Data Cubes, bespoke software and reporting software
  • Perform database queries across multiple tables to extract data for analysis
  • Perform routine statistical analyses and ad-hoc queries
  • Assist in the monthly production of performance dashboards and reports relation to AEB budgets
  • Assist with data quality checking and cleansing
  • Assist with the production of a range of ad-hoc and standard data analysis reports
  • Summarising and presenting results of data analysis to internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Sharing ideas for improvement with others and contributing to their implementation.
  • Demonstrating an appropriate level of expertise in ICT, to deliver a high level of service
  • Being open to and embracing new ways of working
  • Understanding and meeting health and safety duties and responsibilities
  • Adhering to Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Safety Management Systems
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience of working within a team environment
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook would be essential in this role

Desired qualifications

Hold 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above, Grade 9-4 (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English and ideally ICT/Computer Science.

Ideally have completed your Level 3 studies (A-Levels, BTEC Level 3 or Level 3 Apprenticeship).

Future prospects

The expected duration of the apprenticeship is 18months, however the post is permanent.

With both a level 4 qualification in Data Analysis and experience in the role the apprentice will be in a strong position to begin a career in this field, with the opportunity to find employment in a professional capacity in this or other organisations.

Things to consider

The apprentice will receive an annual increment each April taking the salary up to £18,457. The post includes a staff travel pass giving free travel on public transport within Merseyside.
