You will need to be a fast learner, as we are a busy company and are looking for someone who is presentable with good communication skills, ambition and a willingness to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Undertaking measurement of site plans and drawings
  • Assisting team members in the production of estimates and cost plans
  • Assisting in the identification and pricing of Value Engineering
  • Assisting in the production of tender and contract documents
  • Assisting in the analysis of contractor's tenders
  • Assisting staff with site valuations and production of monthly financial reports
  • Assisting in cost control during a project
  • Assisting with benchmarking data
  • Attending team and site meetings where required

Desired qualifications

Applicants will need to meet the following qualifications:
  • A-levels - BBC; or
  • BTEC Extended Diploma - DMM; or
  • 112 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications; and
  • GCSEs - English and maths grade C/4

Applicants applying without A-levels will have their qualifications assessed for subject compatibility.

All successful applicants must meet the criteria for Apprentices set by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

Other relevant or prior experience may also be considered as an alternative. NTU will liaise with the employer to determine their requirements.

Future prospects

Chartered Surveyor status.

Things to consider

Candidates must be prepared to travel. You will be mainly office based, but our projects are all over the UK and as such travel to site or meetings with occasional overnight stays are part of the job role.
