An opportunity exists for a Software Developer to join a team who are building the next generation of scientific analysis and instrument control software. The software we develop is used with our MALDI-ToF mass spectrometers and x-ray photo-electron spectrometers, which are used in an ever-growing range of scientific and clinical applications.

Apprentices will be given the opportunity to build and develop throughout the programme. Day to Day you will be working on assignment across multiple projects / roles and tasks

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Software engineering using the following languages and frameworks
  • C# .NET
  • WPF
  • PRISM
  • MongoDB
  • Design, develop, test and maintain software for our existing, and new, instruments.
  • Work with end users, to develop user friendly and intuitive software.
  • Provide software support for external, and internal, users.
  • Work within the environment of the company's quality standards.
  • Agile Based Development
  • Working within Development and Test Team
  • Identifying development requirements from Specifications
  • Assist in reviewing of Documentation and source code
  • Work across multiple Projects

Desired skills

  • We primarily use Microsoft technologies any knowledge of any Programming language would be beneficial, as would any use of Jira.
  • An interest in working as part of a team to build modern software for scientific and medical use.
