Job Description Summary
The Service Management Tools team work within Service Optimisation. We develop, maintain, support and enhance a number of software tools all geared towards removing risks from the organisation through the automation of processes designed to support changes and events within out IT infrastructure

Job Description

Initially the apprentice will work to support and maintain the ServiceNow toolset, mainly working with the testing element of the team, working on automated test frameworks and streamlining the upgrade process as much as possible.

Progression will be towards a ServiceNow development role, working on supporting the toolset, building and implementing code to fix issues and then onto building and implementing enhancements within the tool.

Training will be provided to support this, both on the job and through formal training courses. Development work will be carried out in ServiceNow and will require exposure and learning centred on ServiceNow as well as then understanding of scripting languages.

After the apprenticeship period we would look to place the candidate into a technical SME role with opportunity to progress upwards providing the candidates behavouirs and delivery were in line with our expectations and headcount is available.

This would be an excellent springboard to launch into other areas of IT or the bank in general because of the numerous relationships that already exist between the team and other areas. The team are experienced in both their disciplines and their welcoming inclusive approach .
