The position holder will be expected to help with all aspects of User and Network support in a Microsoft centric environment and also to help support other Applications and Hardware as and when necessary. The position holder will also design and implement IT solutions for both prospective and existing clients including Desktops, Servers, Telephony, Cloud Services, Communications and Networking and a wide range of Software Applications.

Things to consider
More than just a Level 4 Apprenticeship this is an opportunity to get an additional £8.5K training funded by us on top of the £15K government funding offered by the Level 4 apprenticeship scheme taking you all the way to an MCSA 2016 (or equivalent).
Over an initial period of 16 months you will gain your Level 4 apprenticeship with Firebrand boot camp in centre residential training supplemented by both on and off the job training. Once this is done you will study for and take 3 additional firebrand courses over the next 8 months to achieve a Microsoft Certified System Administrator 2016 (or MCSA 2019 or equivalent if that is available at that stage).
You'll need to be hard working, committed and willing to dig in and learn, and have excellent customer facing skills. You'll be rewarded by a decent salary, starting on £17K, 30 days annual holiday and a great opportunity to work in an enjoyable environment.
The role will also involve:-
- Keeping current with developments in IT.
- Working as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Completion of administrative tasks in common with others within the Organisation.
- Dealing with support and other enquiries from customers and their staff, in person, by telephone, by email of through ticketing systems and offering excellent customer services in line with SLAs
- Design, Specification, Purchasing, Installation, Configuration and management of IT, Networking and Telephony Hardware and Software to fulfil Client needs
- Recording work done accurately in tickets
- Creating and updating both user side and technical documentation and record (knowledgebase and CMDB)
- Accurately Recording Time
- Managing self and others time to get projects done
- Installing, Configuring, Managing and Troubleshooting Firewalls. Routers, Desktop and Server operating systems and Applications, Network Cabling, LANs and WANs, VPNs, Cloud Services.
- Occasional physical work with respect to the removal, replacement and transportation of IT equipment.
- Being available on occasional request during evenings and weekends for installation and/or other tasks that need to be completed at these times.
