The Apprentice Rural Surveyor will work within a team of surveyors.

The apprentice will assist the office in General Land Agency, Estate Management, BPS applications & Entitlement trading, Landlord/Tenant, farm business advice, rural agri-environment schemes, planning, estate agency etc. and other general office duties and site visits. During September to March, the apprentice will spend 8 block weeks studying on campus at Harper Adams University, then apply the learning in the business on their return.

The apprentice will be supervised to start their APC during year 3 of the Degree Apprenticeship and complete timesheets and a log book of activity in accordance with RICS to work towards becominga Chartered Surveyor with a rural specialism. You will be asked to provide certificates as part of your application and your eligibility will be checked

  • Three A levels Grade C or above or equivalent UCAS points or BTEC diploma/apprenticeship plus experience


Future prospects

Once the apprenticeshipis successfully completed and you become a Chartered Surveyor, you will be offered a full time role with the firm and possibly progress to becoming a partner in later years.

PPE provided if necessary.

A Driving licence is required for some site visits, although you will be supervised for the APC until you are qualified.
