- Being responsible for own key group
- Feeding - supervising meal times, encouraging children to eat, table manners
- Changing - Changing nappies on time, following the correct procedure, assisting older children to the toilet
- Cleaning - ensure children are kept clean throughout the day, wiping noses, changing clothes as needed
- Dealing with sick children/recording accidents/medication administered/temperatures
- Planning and carrying out age appropriate activities
- Displaying all completed planning at the beginning of the week
- Completing and keeping up to date assessments - following through with planning
- Being aware of the groups, routines, special diets and allergies etc
- Having a knowledge and understanding of the bright future goals.
PARENTS
- Maintain a professional relationship with parents
- Discuss child's day with parent, keep parent up t date with progress/new achievements, worries or concerns
- Passing on messages/invoices/letters
- Ensuring parents sign accidents/medicines/temperature/late books
- Ensuring parents are informed of items required
GENERAL
- Completing daily duties in the room/nursery
- Keeping the room designated areas tidy
- Being aware of all nursery policies and procedures and the national standards
- Completing duties as allocated/requested to a high standard
- Being aware of themes/topics
- Informing room leader when resources i.e. toilet rolls, sand, paint are noticed to running low
