We are currently seeking enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join Nurseries across South London.

There are several opportunities to work with credible nurseries in all parts of the South London area.

The successful applicant will receive all the training required in order to become a Level 3 Nursery Nurse once the Apprenticeship has been completed.

Responsibilities:

* Adhere to the Policies and Procedures and comply with legislation and Ofsted requirements.

* To arrive promptly and follow the correct company uniform policy every day.

* Follow routines set by the nursery.

* Assist nursery practitioners in providing a stimulating environment for the children and assist in the care of toys/equipment.

* Offering all children equal opportunities regardless of their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, culture or background.

* Assist in the planning and preparation of activities, to meet children's individual needs.

* If a Key Person, keep all types of observations, assessments and development records and any other Key Person responsibilities.

* Complete accident forms, medication forms, incident forms as and when needed.

* Complete regulatory paperwork e.g. room temperature checks, staff signing in forms, children's signing in sheets etc.

* To liaise with parents ensuring a two way flow of information and provide feedback on the child's day.

* Promote Safeguarding in line with the nursery Child Protection - Safeguarding Policy.

* Promote positive management of children's behaviour in line with the nursery Promoting Positive Behaviour policy.

* Carry out laundry duties in line with the rota.

* Participate in staff meetings, regular parents' evenings, publicity, open weekends, fundraising, children's outings, training sessions/courses and any other nursery organised events.

* To input policy reviews and the nursery Self Evaluation Form (SEF).

* To work positively within the team.

* Provide a good role model for students and help new staff settle into the nursery.

* Attend induction training and sign-up to an Apprenticeship programme.

* Attend NVQ course.

* Keep up to date on all work set by your training company/tutor.

* To help maintain the safety, security, physical and emotional welfare of the children in the nursery by supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

* Be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures e.g. fire exits and reception
