Classeq Warewashing was formed in 1977 to provide the hospitality industry with a range of robust, simple to use and cost effective glass and dishwashing equipment for professionals. Since then, Classeq has unveiled many new products, applied new technologies and continues to provide glass and dishwashing solutions that suit all markets. Classeq has a purpose build 3000 sq. m manufacturing facility in Stafford including its R&D team to develop new products and test systems.
Classic is looking for an apprentice who can work with us to develop the skills we need to support our software developments in the future. The role of an Embedded Software Design and development engineer is to apply their knowledge of embedded software to the design of circuits or devices that provide a useful function, that are capable of being manufactured at a competitive cost, and that are reliable and safe in use. This involves the use of the engineer's knowledge of systems, married to an expertise in the end use of the final product.

Desired qualifications
Minimum of 5 GCSE A*-C (9-4) or equivalents which needs to include maths and English & minimum of 2 A levels including a STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths).
Future prospects
The possibility of a full time post upon completing the apprenticeship.

Duties will Include:
- Bespoke test software including our test sequence builder and load editor for production test
- Qt Creator development tools for programming and test
- Compiling of machine parameter tables into application code
- PLC programming using Siemens and Crouzet logic controllers
- Raspberry PI test applications
- Embedded C code using the IAR studio development environment on ST Microcontrollers
- Flow diagrams and code documentation
