Our Actuarial Apprenticeship is a phenomenal opportunity for someone with an aptitude for numbers who would like to start a career with one of the world's most successful insurance companies. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Evaluates loss reserve calculations under various bases.
  • Helps develops of rates, rating plans, and pricing for portfolio management strategies.
  • Conducts studies and other research activities.
  • Prepare premium rate filings, schedules of statistics/statistical analyses, and financial statements
  • Perform experience investigations and data validation.
  • Calculates statutory reserves and financial valuations.
  • Where appropriate, provide product development and pricing support
  • Run and test pricing models.
  • Provide basic actuarial services in order to fulfill routine business requirements.
  • Perform statistical analysis, model and analyze data and develop models/programs for model building and analyses; interpret results of models and analyses.
  • Compile and categorize data, documents and verify factors and assumptions used in computations to ensure robust output.
  • Help perform actuarial analyses and reporting to support business production functions.

Working in three specialist areas; Pricing, Reserving and Risk our Actuaries work closely with the business to better understand the financial impacts and risks that our customers and the business face. They ensure we are in a position to deliver on our promises when the time comes, using maths and statistics to provide business insight.

This opportunity offers you a dynamic environment, where you will provide actuarial and administrative support. You can expect to be undertaking basic data gathering, analysis and modelling. You'll also be providing support for a range of actuarial activities, including experience studies, research and model development.

  • At least 112 UCAS points (or equivalent) from 3 A-level subjects, excluding general studies, including minimum B-grade in mathematics A-Level
