Based at Exeter Science Park, youwill be responsible for state-of-the-art data extraction and manipulation. Using advanced statistical methods you will produce cutting-edge visualisations of your analysis and predictions from a world-class range of data sources.

The role will support the maintenanceand developmentof data processing, analytical techniques, reporting solutions and information provision.You willprimarily provide data services to colleagues and to external customers.As the business is growing, you will need to adapt rapidly in response to internal needs and external influences and so the responsibilities of the post are challenging and varied.

Your Main Duties will Involve:
  • Extract, analyse andpresent a variety of datasetstounderpin management decision-making
  • Develop, maintain and improve reporting tools to reflect changes in the source database, and to develop new reports and post-processing software tostreamline the provision of management information
  • Analyse, assess and present datasets from external sources
  • Be the provider of a data information service - responding swiftly and accurately to regular and one-off requests for management information
  • Continually assess the integrity of data from all sources and actively contribute to the improvements in data quality
  • Document and maintain the series of basic datasets / data warehouses and tocontribute to themanagement ofthe data archiving process
  • Work with team members to provide a high quality business intelligence and management information service to the management team in support of both strategic and operational planning
  • Perform any other duties, as requested by your Manager, consistent with the role or the responsibilities and goals of the Company

Dashboard offer a competitive wagefor starting apprentices which is well above theapprenticeshipminimum rate. The closing date for applications and possible start date is flexibleand canbe brought forwardfor the right candidate.

Desired qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A*-C(9-4) or equivalent, including English and maths at grade B (6) or above
  • A-Levels/BTEC National Diploma, or equivalent

Future prospects

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, it is our aim to offer permanent employment. As your career develops, you may wish to continue your studies and enrol onto a degree level apprenticeship. Further studies could take you to University level training such as a BSc or MSc.
