What you will do in your working day
Being a Technical Apprentice means working with the Techncial team in production facilities to ensure that food is safe, clean and to the customers' requirements. You will be conducting audits, analysing data, visually checking products and quality testing and much more. This is a diverse role that is entirely focused on food!
The training you will be getting
You will gain your degree through Harper Adams University through 'block learning'. This means that yourself and other Technical Apprentices will attend the university four times a year, a week at a time, all expenses paid. As well as your degree you will take part in the following training:
All apprentices will be assigned a dedicated line manager, mentor and coach.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Our aim is to progress every apprentice into a suitabl role after they have gained their degree. Roles may include: Technical Co-ordinator, Quality Systems Manager, Quality Assurance Manager etc.

This apprenticeship will involve working on a daily basis in an abattoir environment.
