Busy and friendly utilities contractor office seeking bubby individual who is looking to build a long-term career and develop skills.
You will be based at our Sittingbourne branch. You will work in the office supporting the Office Manager and be front of house for the business being the first port of call for all visitors and guests. This is a new role and an opportunity to make it your own with the potential to become a permanent team member for the right candidate.
You will learn about business administration in a fun and busy environment, so need to be willing to get stuck in with a range of duties and hit the ground running.
You will support all Avidety staff to maintain existing systems whilst using your own creativity and skills to create new ones to enable us to be more proactive.
To be able to communicate with people of all levels as will be the face of the company.
Support the Office Manager to provide excellent administration across the business.
To deal effectively with incoming request from Project Management team regarding Utilities Administration.
To maintain records in line with company policies and procedures.
To maintain filing systems, hard copies and electronic and introduce new systems that support the smooth running of the business.
Support the smooth running of the office which may include ordering of stock, archiving production of minutes and correspondence.
A staggered salary increment based on completion of qualification.
Wages are paid on the last working day of each month.
Starting rate from £3.90 – £136.50 p/w
Reviewed after 3 month period
Working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, we are flexible as to how this will work over 5 days per week.
Confident in the use of Microsoft office packages
IT confident in order to have training to use various software systems.
Confident and outgoing a must.
Creative and innovative
Able to work with frequent interruptions
Good attention to detail
A* – D GCSE Maths and English
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
