The Software Development Apprentice will gain practical experience by supporting the team on key projects and programmes across the department. Working under supervision, you will help to source, develop, implement, maintain and support world- class technology. With a varied client base, you will need to be a natural problem solver, flexible, adaptable and be able to work on your own initiative.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Learn a range of coding languages and put them into practice
- Review current client systems
- Maintain software systems
- Front and Back end development
- App design and development
- Installation and testing of software
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
The role will require knowledge or experience of;
- Experience with fundamental front end languages (HTML, CSS, JS, Python)
- Familiar with JavaScript frameworks
- Familiar with server side languages (Python, Ruby, Java)
- Database knowledge (SQL)
- Some experience using AWS/Google Cloud Platform
- WordPress knowledge ideal but not essential

- Ability to grasp new concepts and learn quickly
- Organised self-starter with attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Be able to take direction from and work on own initiative
