What you will do in your working day
The training you will be getting
You'll benefit from the level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship training, we will also deliver on site training and give you the opportunity to learn and apply new skills on the job.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
The successful candidate would ideally wish to make a career in Trading Standards by using their apprenticeship as a stepping stone to becoming a Trading Standards Practitioner and obtaining exemptions from Units 1 and 2 of part 1 of the Trading Standards Practitioner's framework. A science GCSE or equivalent would be desirable.

- Assisting Trading Standards as they deal with service requests from the public and from businesses
- Learn how to tackle rogue trading and ensure that consumer goods are safe and that businesses operate fairly.
- Assist by helping to inspect premises and investigate breaches of the legislation.
- Undertake projects, make test purchases, provide legal advice and ensure accurate recording of information on our corporate databases and provide witness statements that can be used in court as evidence.
