Avery Berkel is an established manufacturer based in Smethwick near Birmingham. You will be part of the software team that supports and maintains existing software as well as developing new features and products. These include embedded products and web-based applications.
The main activities of the role will include:
You will work directly under the guidance of the Software Development Manager and will be supported by other members of the software team.

Completion of the apprenticeship will give experience and exposure to the full software development cycle leading to a role as Software Engineer.
The main activities of the role will include:
- Investigation and diagnosis of issues reported by customers
- Maintenance of existing software to fix issues and add new features
- Building and testing of software releases
- Creating software release notes
You will work directly under the guidance of the Software Development Manager and will be supported by other members of the software team.
