As an apprentice developer you will:
  • Work within a small agile development team where you will be provided with ample opportunity to develop your programming skills on a variety of interesting projects.
  • In a small team, you will work closely with other developers on production code within web based software projects where you will be given support and assistance in developing your skills on both real and educational projects.
  • Study towards an IT Level 3 or IT Level 4 depending on your level of learning and you will be fully supported by the employer and Arch Apprenticeships with opportunities to access further certifications and industry accreditations.
  • Be working as part of a small agile development team, we work across both bespoke builds and Umbraco projects and offer our developers the opportunity to become fully Umbraco and Microsoft certified.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Computer literate
  • Level 2 Diploma in IT essential or relevant qualification i.e. BTEC level 2 level 3
  • Basic programming skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Candidates that are accepted for interviews will be expected to demonstrate at least one hobby project where they have developed a piece of software and should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of:
  • Umbraco
  • Visual studio
  • HTML / CSS
  • .NET

We are looking for a long-term team player as opposed to an 18-month apprentice! The right candidate will have this in mind as their end goal.
