Working as an Office Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the day to day administration of the school, you will also provide support to pupils, teachers and other non-teaching staff with administration responsibilities. This will include creating documents using Microsoft Office, filing and sending documents by email and post and maintaining all aspects of HR within the school. You'll need excellent communication skills as you will regularly answer the office phone and liaise with members for the public and staff regarding school-related enquiries. You'll also need a good attention to detail to ensure your work is accurate. Previous managerial experience would be beneficial.

Things to consider

There will be the need for the candidate to work across various administration points including reception (for both parents and students), computer based tasks, printing/filing and telephone duties. The role interacts with parents and staff on a daily basis and the ideal candidate will be comfortable with having these interactions. You will lead on school administration and should be able to manage staff to help you achieve this. Some additional hours may be required for events such as open evening to ensure their smooth operation.
