DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
Calibre Cleaning Ltd is looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to support a small and friendly team in our Ashford Office.
You will undertake a vast array of tasks, day to day responsibilities will include data entry, answering calls, maintenance of records, gaining experience on a variety of systems as well as project work.
You will be joining a growing business, playing an important support role. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience whilst completing your Apprenticeship.
You will need to be highly organised and a wizard on Excel, Word, Outlook and Social Media sites. You will also need to have an excellent standard of written and spoken English.
Main roles and responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of records
- Writing content for websites
- Data entry
- Maintenance of Social Media sites
- Taking minutes of meetings
- Answering the telephone
- General Administrative and other duties as required
35 hours – £157.50 week
Monday – Friday 9.00am -5.00pm
1 hour lunch
- IT and social media wizard
- Ability to work as part of a team

- Good sense of humour
A*-D GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
IT and Business Studies (desirable)
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
