As the Data Officer you will be responsible to ensuring all data in the school is accurate and up to date, as well as preparing reports for students and parents and analysis for Senior Leaders.

Duties include:
  • Work with experienced officers to collate, analyse, manage, interpret and present data
  • Learn about Information management using a variety of tools e.g. excel, access and SQL
  • Manipulate and link different data sets
  • Collect and compile data from a wide range of sources
  • Assist with data quality checking and cleansing
  • Perform database queries to extract data for analysis
  • Use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
  • Assist with the production of data used in reports and presentation e.g. bar graphs, pie charts

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

The ideal candidate must have excellent numeracy/literacy skills and be able to input data effectively with a view of being able to analyse or present the necessary data.

Personal qualities

We are seeking someone who is a team player, flexible and is able to communicate at all levels within the Academy including students and parents.

Desired qualifications

It would be desirable to have English and maths grade 9-5 (A* to C+) or equivalent.

Future prospects

To be confirmed on completion of the apprenticeship.The qualifications and experience gained on this Apprenticeship will allow you to apply for further roles within this sector.
