Apprentice Production & Warehouse Operative

DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
Eurobond Adhesives have been a leading organisation in their industry for over thirty years, and they are now looking for an apprentice to be a part of their success.
Starting in September 2019, the Apprentice Production & Warehousing Operative will benefit from joining a friendly and welcoming team who are dedicated to supporting and developing their staff. Your role will cover a broad range of warehousing tasks whilst also including elements of production, which will add variety and versatility to your role and skillset.

Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:
– Managing stock levels
– Overseeing goods in and goods out
-Processing courier dispatch using computer-based systems
– Manual handling – including the opportunity to be forklift and pallet truck trained
– Order fulfilment
– General production tasks – including labelling and filing
– Quality control checks
– Light housekeeping tasks including making tea (everybody in the team takes a turn!)
£146.25 per week
37.5 working hours per week:
08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday (includes two paid 15 minute breaks and an hour unpaid for lunch)
08:30 – 16:30 Friday (30 minute lunchbreak)
The successful candidate should have good attention to detail, with a great sense of timekeeping and punctuality.
We are looking for somebody with a true sense of ambition who is a good team player and able to work with a range of people. A sense of humour is also a must!
Due to flammable materials on site this role is NOT suited to smokers or those with respiratory (e.g Asthma) or skin conditions (e.g Eczema, Psoriasis).
Maths – GCSE Grade D / 3 minimum
English – GCSE Grade C / 4 minimum
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
