Apprentice Care Home Administrator
Grosvenor Court is a 62 bed residential home in Margate. It employs a team of skilled and friendly professionals who are trained in many specialist needs, such as dementia care and learning disability, as well as sensory impairments and Parkinson’s.

This reputable care home in Margate is looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to come and support with a wide range of administrative duties that contribute to the smooth-running of the home.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team and there will be scope for your role to evolve as you progress.
Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
Writing and dispatching routine or straightforward letters
Answering general queries by telephone
Answering the door to visitors
Photocopying documents and maintaining organisation of office storage
Sorting and opening post Obtaining information from the computer
Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files
Ordering Items for homes Minute taking and typing of minutes
Liaising and communicating with Head Office
Working in accordance with Data Protection requirements Assisting manager and administrator as necessary
•Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.
£146.25 per week
37.5 working hours per week
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 (includes an half hour lunch break each day)
The successful candidate should have good organisation skills
The successful candidate should be well-presented and eager to learn.
Offer of the apprenticeship will be subject to a DBS check.
Minimum Grade D/3 in GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent)
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
