They are looking to recruit a hard working Recruitment / Compliance coordinator Apprentice to join their team supporting client and office administration tasks. The role is based at their head office in Saxmundham. The Successful candidate will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills to keep up with their busy day to day workload. We will be looking to provide full training to the successful candidate, therefore previous experience within the industry is not required, just the drive and motivation to want to learn.

Your duties will include:

  • To interview potential carers – using the opportunity to check suitability and to encourage the good candidates to work for us.
  • Have a good understanding of CQC Recruitment regulations.
  • To check the suitability of potential carers in a robust way, ensuring that all carers are honest, trustworthy, respectful and reliable
  • To liaise with referees to obtain a timely and honest opinion of a potential carer’s character
  • To liaise with potential carers to encourage their progress; to challenge any objections or impediments that prevent a potentially good carer from joining our Company, with a view to getting the carer to come when we want them
  • To undertake negotiation with potential carers on timing to join us
  • To undertake the recording of carer recruitment information and figures
  • To ensure that all carer applications are accurate and robust
  • To complete DBS applications for carers and record information on our systems.
  • To have a good understanding of the Prevention of Illegal Working Guidelines, to carry out the checks for each carer that joins Christies Care and record on our systems.
  • To review your own recruitment/compliance performance, ensuring that you meet or exceed targets
  • To ensure that you gain a clear understanding of carers’ wants and needs. Keeping this up to date and feeding trends to the Head of Department
  • To respond to incoming email and telephone enquiries in a timely manner
  • To maintain and develop relationships with existing carers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • To attend team meetings and share best practice effectively with colleagues
  • To check the suitability of potential carers in a robust way, ensuring that all carers are honest, trustworthy, respectful and reliable

Working week

  • Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
  • Total hours per week: 35.00

Desired qualifications

  • It would be desirable for the successful candidate to hold GCSE, or equivalents, grades (A*-C)/(9-4) in English and Maths.
  • However, if these have not been achieved, Key Training will provide support and up skill in these subjects through Functional Skills, which will be a requirement.

Future prospects

  • Potential permanent position available for the individual upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship programme, if hard work has been shown throughout.

Training to be provided

  • Level 2 in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English (If needed)

This Apprenticeship programme will be delivered and completed in the workplace, meaning there is no required day release to college. Upon starting this apprenticeship programme, the successful candidate will be allocated a training consultant who will visit them in the workplace.

The apprentice will have regular contact from their training consultant and will be allocated time within their working hours to complete the work that is set for them as part of the apprenticeship programme.
