Duties/responsibilities to include:
  • Conduct all operations related to the production of electronic products and components as per customer requirements or, in their absence, industry standards approved by the organisation (IPC)
  • Interpret work order information and adhere to production plan
  • Interpret production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions and follow to achieve product realisation
  • Prepare kits for use; ensure correct materials andquantities; preform components
  • Conduct general assembly of electronic components and cables using various tools and machines
  • Conduct wire cutting, stripping, dressing, crimping, and other simple cable operations
  • Conduct mechanical assemblies using hand tools
  • Conduct intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, and epoxy bonding
  • Conduct testing and inspection, using magnification devices, measuring instruments, or electrical test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
  • Conduct rework of nonconforming products, on request of the production supervisor
  • Conduct other related duties, outside normal area of expertise, when required, in order to meet the missions and goals of the organisation
  • Confer with supervisors or management to clarify, plan or review work activities, or to resolve productions issues or equipment malfunctions
  • Make recommendations to improve quality systems, increase productivity, manufacturability, or reduce costs
  • Manage time to ensure on-time delivery of product at or below standard assembly times
  • Ensure no workmanship or material defects are passed downstream

Things to consider

If candidates are over 18 you can work 39 hours per week however for under 18's you will work 8 hours a day and 4 hours on a Friday.
