Choices are a domestic abuse service provider operating in the North and West Kent and Medway areas, we offer a range of supports to all victims of domestic abuse.

Vacancy Description
This is a varied role working alongside the Finance Manager.

You will be based at Gravesend.

This is a new role and an opportunity to make it your own with the potential to become a permanent team member for the right candidate.

You will learn about finance but also about social care / housing, providing you with broad transferable skill set for the future.

You will support us to maintain existing systems whilst using your own creativity and skills to create new ones to enable us to be more proactive.

You will be required to carry out duties including

Ordering goods and recording these accordingly 
Minute taking in meetings when required 
Data entry, filing and retrieval 
Assisting with updating personnel records for payroll entering invoices on to the accounting system raising invoices and matching payments assisting with housing tasks all other duties as required by line manager

£157.50 per week {£4.50phr, 35 hours a week}
Wages are paid on the 30th of each month.

Working 35 hours per week Monday – Friday, during office hours.
Lunch break is unpaid

Skills Required
Confident in the use of:
Microsoft office packages.
IT confident in order to have training to use various software systems
An interest in finance administration

Personal Qualities:
Able to be confidential at all times. 
Creative and innovative 
Able to work with frequent interruptions 
Good attention to detail

Qualifications Required
A* – D GCSE Maths and English

Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Important Information

Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
