Duties to include:
  • Respond to customer correspondence and queries relating to Revenues' services, dealing with these in an effective and sensitive manner via the telephone, face-to-face and any other means of communication
  • Check and collate outgoing notices, bills and letters and issue computer generated correspondence on behalf of the Revenues Team
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate database of Council Tax properties
  • Assist in undertaking reviews of discounts and exemptions that have been applied to Council Tax accounts
  • Open and sort incoming post, with reference to information security arrangements and fraud awareness
  • Scan and index correspondence using document image processing system
  • Update and process information received from other departments within the Council
  • Provide clerical administrative support to the Revenues Service

To ensure that service delivery complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, the Council's policies and procedures and appropriate legislation.This includes legislation on equalities, health and safety and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Requirements and prospects

Desired qualifications

Things to consider

Must be able to travel to Hampshire wide locations and occasionally to further locations some of which may not be easily accessible by public transport.
