A fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to join the Council's Policy team as an apprentice and gain a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management. You will earn whilst studying for a full-funded degree course, as well as developing relevant skills and real work experience to boost your career prospects. Successful students will also achieve Chartered Manager status with the CMI.

The apprenticeship will involve 4 days per week at work, with 1 day per week spent training under the guidance of business management specialists at the University of Central Lancashire at either their Burnley or Preston Campus.

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English as well as one of the following:
  • 112 points at A2 - General Studies accepted(or equivalent)
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit (or equivalent)
  • BTEC Diploma: Distinction*Distinction*(or equivalent)
  • Pass Access To HE with 30 Level 3 Credits at Distinction(or equivalent)
  • International Baccalaureate: 28P(or equivalent)
  • IELTS: 6.0 with no sub-score lower than 5.5(or equivalent)

This is a 4 year apprenticeship, with opportunities to apply for permanent roles if available.
