As a building services design engineer apprentice, you will be working closely with and providing technical support to our engineers, carrying out design work according to the client specification for projects across a variety of sectors.

  • Preparation of simple calculations
  • General sizing calculations
  • Production of Building Information Models and related outputs
  • Site visits
  • Site surveys
  • Contributing to providing solutions to design problems
  • Ensuring designs meet required standards following our Integrated Management System
  • Keeping your training log up to date and attending training/CPDs where appropriate
  • Supporting the administration of projects
  • Ensure that Crofton's Quality System is followed

Desired qualifications

Have at least three A levels at Grades A*-Cincluding Mathematics and Physical Science or their equivalent or will have completed a level 3 Apprenticeship as a Building Services Design Technician.
  • A Level BBC or
  • BTEC National Diploma DDM or
  • Access to Engineering qualifications with 15 Distinctions and 30 Merits or
  • Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 128 UCAS points
  • Level 3 qualifications must include maths and Physics
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including maths and English

Things to consider
