Job Details

Wincheap Foundation Primary is a happy school which strives to provide all our children with a rich, varied and exciting curriculum with a broad range of stimulating learning experiences.

We particularly value the arts and are proud to hold Artsmark Gold in recognition of our achievements in this area. We employ specialist art and music teachers to teach these important subjects across the school and enjoy regularly inviting parents into school to celebrate their children’s successes through productions, class assemblies and innovate challenge exhibitions, and events such as Rockestra and Festival on the Field.

All of our children benefit from outdoor learning all year round in our fabulous forest school taught by a full-time specialist teacher and set within our extensive school grounds. In KS2, all children have weekly Spanish lessons where they develop the confidence to communicate both through spoken and written language, as well as learning about the life and culture in Spanish-speaking countries around the world. For the last few years, we have employed specialist sports coaches to teach PE and games. This has been a great success, enabling our children to take part in exciting new and varied sporting activities and a range of local tournaments.
