Our Planning, Transport and Design team is hugely successful with a growing portfolio of impressive projects and clients in the public and private sectors. We are a vibrant RTPI award winning team working with some of the nation's most prestigious clients on a wide range of exciting projects across the country.

The team works throughout the UK with major landowners, housebuilders and developers, Government departments and agencies, local authorities, infrastructure providers, utility and energy companies.

Key responsibilities in the rolewill include:
  • Working with multi-disciplinary technical teams, coordinating the submission of planning applications for a variety of schemes, and contributing to the provision of strategic planning advice to clients
  • You will assist in the preparation of planning application submission for a variety of schemes and carrying out research
  • You will work with colleagues to develop and maintain important client relations and you will learn to provide planning advice to colleagues in other parts of the business

Requirements and prospects

  • Interpersonal and communication skills required for relationship management

  • Ability to understand architectural drawings
  • Full driving licence is desirable

  • Ambition and ability to develop new relationships, and manage existing relationships
  • Politically interested and engaged (i.e. town planning is a political process)

Desired qualifications

  • 2:2 degree in cognate area (or substantial work experience).
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).

Things to consider

We work seamlessly as a nationwide team from multiple offices across the UK and we often work on site-specific projects. You will therefore need to travel to other offices and conduct site visits as well as attending external meetings.

Salary starting from "£18,000 + benefits" increasing up to "£20,000 + benefits" over the 2-year period.
