We have an exciting vacancy for a Policy Apprenticeship within Housing and Landlord Services. As the largest social landlord in the South West we are responsible for managing over 28,500 homes. We also provide a range of housing services including,homelessness advice & preventionand regulation of the private rented sector.

As a policy apprentice, you would have the opportunity to support the work of the Policy and Projects Team. The team have responsibility for delivering positive change and service improvements, delivered through the development of policies and strategies, and by leading or coordinating project work.

Business Planning and Service Development Team handles a range of policy and project work including;
  • Policy Development
  • Service improvement
  • Review new legislation and legal requirements
  • Benchmarking and Networking

We are looking for an apprentice who will be involved/carry out:
  • Research Data analysis
  • Administration
  • Project Support
  • Stakeholder engagement

You will undertake a Policy Apprenticeship whilst in the post. This is a fantastic starting position for someone wishing to start their career in the Housing Policy and Projects environment and there are lots of opportunities for development.

The role will be co based from our City Hall and Temple St locations, you will work closely with the Housing Policy and Projects Team in open plan offices, from time to time you might attend other Bristol City Council sites around Bristol and possibly evening meetings.

This is a 2 year programme, at the end of which there may be the opportunity to apply for additional roles within the Council.
