To assist the IT Team in maintaining the IT Helpdesk, ensuring all internal customers receive a high level of IT Support. Together with the assistance of 3rd party support partner you will be involved in overseeing and ensuring IT issues are dealt with in a realistic timeframe.

Acquiring the technical qualifications as part of your apprentice scheme will also be supplemented with hands on experience to gain IT skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic IT-oriented individual to develop their skills within a fast-paced and exciting environment.

The ideal candidate for the role will be a talented and highly motivated individual with some experience in IT. You must be able to demonstrate basic IT literacy and a keen interest in a career in technology and applications.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • IT support and helpdesk admin
  • General upkeep of ERP System
  • General upkeep of CAM System
  • Assist and develop automation links between ERP and CAM Systems
  • Provide required reports from the ERP & CAM Systems as requested
  • Supporting the business on a day to day basis with 1st line support responsibilities
  • Installation and configuration of hardware and software
  • Building and re-building laptops and server systems on request
  • Personal development of IT skills and capabilities
  • Any other reasonable duty or request


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Ability to learn and adapt very quickly
  • Knowledge of MS Applications including but not limited to Office 2016
  • Basic understanding of a wide range of hardware (printers, laptops, monitors, cabling etc.) and software
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Strong assessment skills
  • A passion for providing excellent customer services at all times
  • Strong communication skills with people at varying levels

Desired qualifications

Five GCSE's A*-C/9-4 including maths and English, plus a technology subject.

2 A levels in STEM subjects or an IT apprenticeship at level 3.

Any equivalent qualifications are accepted.

Future prospects

Possible permanent position upon completion of apprenticeship.
