You will receive training and support to enable you to support the Strategic Housing and Regeneration service in the development of housing related strategies and policies, by undertaking data gathering and analysis, collation of informationand other project support tasks including;
  • Contribute to the development of modelling tools

Contribute to the development of a robust evidence base to support work areas including:
  • Service development and improvements within the Strategic Housing and Regeneration service
  • The Council's wider housing and economic growth programme
  • Contribute to the production of regular information and business intelligence in a variety of formats
  • Collaborate and work well with other teams and services in the Council and with external organisations
  • Contribute to team working and effective internal relationships
  • Undertake any other duties in agreement with the post holder and manager
  • Some of the duties may require attendance at meetings and other events outside normal working hours including evenings and weekends
  • All duties and responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with the agreed Council policy and procedures, in particular the Council policies on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • An interest in analytics and desire to develop these skills
  • The ability to explain complex information in plain language
  • The ability to interpret and analyse requests from customers (internal and external)
  • An awareness of and ability to develop good customer services skills
  • Effective Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to write in a clear concise and fluent way
  • Good presentation skills
  • Be adaptable, flexible, capable of team working and able to prioritise own workload.

  • Occasional interactions with members of the public, with the potential for difficult situations
  • Usually office based, in a controlled, low risk environment, with the potential for occasional offsite work

Desired qualifications

  • 5 A-C Grade GCSE'S including maths and Englishand 3A levels or equivalent
  • Agood standard of written and spoken English
  • Be reliable, keen to learn and able to work in a team
  • Computer literate with some knowledge of Microsoft Office
