Vacancy Description

At Aspect Lifts, you will be part of a small friendly team that recognises that its staff are equally as important as its customers.

We need a team player who is willing to learn quickly and is happy to be involved in all aspects of a busy Service Desk. As a Service Desk Assistant, you will provide first line telephone support to the customers.

You will be required to support the Service Desk Co-ordinator daily by speaking with customers and engineers and being the first point of contact for all calls into the company.

You will need to log calls using our bespoke computer system and be responsible for directing the calls to numerous areas within the company.

You will need to build and maintain good working relationships with customers and other members of the company to ensure the smooth operation of all calls.  You will also be responsible for keeping customers updated via email or telephone with progress on any call logged.

You will be responsible for sending electronic reports via email.

You will need to liaise on a daily basis with all departments to obtain information and update the computer system with the information found.

You will need to be accurate, be able to work under pressure and to some tight deadlines and when required use your own initiative.

Wage

Wages £4.50 per hour

To be reviewed at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months.

 

Hours

Monday – Friday

9.00am – 5.00pm

1 hour Daily Lunch Break (Paid)

Qualifications Required

GCSE maths and English level 4-9/Grade A-D. Functional skills L 1 or 2 in English and maths.

ICT

 

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

 

Important Information
