What you will do in your working day
As an apprentice in the FACT team, you will develop your data and analytical skills in a friendly team with a successful record supporting apprentices. You will support the work of the team, ensuring that data and data systems are designed, upgraded, managed and archived in compliance with the data policies, across the data life cycle. You will provide technical data solutions to a range of customers and document and report the results of data analysis, making recommendations for improvement.
The training you will be getting
You will develop and employ your technical skills in line with organisational procedures and with support from your line manager
You will develop and apply your technical knowledge and understanding regarding data protection, data models and data quality
You will develop and practice your transferrable skills and competencies, such as creative thinking, problem-solving and internal/external communication.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
At the end of your apprenticeship you will have a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship and substantial work experience working within the Civil Service and with Data.
You will be able to apply for Civil Service positions on level transfer or promotion through internal only recruitment when you are within 2 months of the end of your contract. You will also have access to the Civil Service Jobs board and be well placed to continue your career within the Civil Service.

A Level or equivalent Mathematics or Information Technology (Grade A* - C) Essential
Things to consider
Individuals appointed to the Treasury will be subject to National Security Vetting. To allow for meaningful checks to be carried out applicants will normally need to have lived in the UK for at least 3 out of the past 5 years. A lack of full UK residency is not always a bar to security clearance and this will be checked following an application.
