Duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Through conduct, behaviours and action support the implementation of Hall & Kay Fire Services business through the commercial process of contracting -Monthly preparation and delivery of valuations of varying projects
  • Continued monitoring of cashflow and assistance reporting internally
  • Production of quantified schedule of rates and activity schedules as and when required
  • Working closely with a diverse range of project teams to ensure variations to contract works can be priced and substantiated accordingly
  • Monitor and control income and expenditure included but not limited to interim application, final account negotiations and liaising with necessary parties to ensure cashflow is maintained
  • Where required, production of monthly reports detailing projections of a variety of projects - Assisting in monitoring and advising others of contractual obligations, whilst developing a good understanding of contracts and the associated law
  • Attend site meetings, with others and on occasion independently, to monitor progress and meet with Clients to agree financial accounts
  • Other activities as instructed by the Quantity Surveyor - Familiarise & comply with all company policies & procedures

  • Full driving license (due to the nature of the role)

  • To be flexible in terms of travel and working hours as there will be occasional nights away from home
  • Experienced and confident communicator able to build strong working relationships

Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs at grades 4/C or above (or equivalent) including maths, English and a science
  • A-Level (or equivalent) in Science / Engineering
