VACANCY DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity to join an innovative, successful graphic design agency in the heart of Maidstone has arisen for an enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn.

As the Apprentice Web Development Administrator you will be working alongside more experienced colleagues to support the administrative elements of the web development process. During training you will learn to build and update websites, a skill increasing in value with the growth of the digital world.

Your role will be varied and creative, and will include overseeing the company’s social media presence.

This is a varied role where creativity counts.  Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:

– Working with a range of online systems to help support the administrative processes of maintaining and updating websites.
– Designing and building websites from scratch

-Overseeing and managing social media accounts including Facebook and Twitter

– Data entry: adding product details to websites

– Communicating with customers with regards to the analytics of their websites

– Carrying out research and feeding back ideas to the team

WAGE
£147 per week

HOURS
35 working hours per week:

Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00

Includes an hour’s unpaid lunchbreak each day.

SKILLS REQUIRED
The ideal candidate would already have a basic knowledge of html coding.

Knowledge of Photoshop and PHP would be a bonus but it is not an essential requirement.

PERSONAL QUALITIES
Alongside an interest in web development, the ideal candidate should be driven, self-motivated and organised.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Maths – GCSE Grade D / 3 minimum
English – GCSE Grade D/ 3 minimum

TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
