Since becoming a Foundation Trust in 2006 we have continued to thrive and now provide integrated mental health, learning disabilities and community services for much of South East London and a range of more specialist services in Kent and other counties.

We have a workforce of around 3,500 people including many highly skilled health and social care professionals. We have over 125 sites in a variety of locations across the London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and into Kent.

We have been the main provider of specialist mental health care for more than ten years and have developed a comprehensive portfolio of services in community and hospital settings. We also provide specialist forensic mental health care across South East London and in Kent Prisons.

Based at Pinewood House the successful candidate will support our recruitment and temporary resourcing function to provide an efficient, customer focused service. The recruitment team is responsible for the end to end recruitment of all staff joining Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. The Temporary Resourcing team supports managers to cover short-term unplanned and planned absences.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn skills and gain experience in business administration and customer service. You will undertake a vast range of tasks and day to day responsibilities will include drafting documents, answering calls, data entry. You will also gain experience on a variety of system and software packages. In addition, you may complete simple projects.

You will work as part of a team and must be adaptable, work well under pressure and have good communication skills. You will demonstrate effective learning when working with the team. You will also have excellent attention to detail and be willing to learn new skills and demonstrate a professional manner. You should also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

You will work to complete you Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship and will be given multiple opportunities to create a portfolio of evidence to support this. Approximately 20% of your time on average will be spent learning new activities, which will include researching and shadowing team members. You may also be asked to attend meetings and events to support your learning.

£150 per week

Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
37.5 hours per week
30 minute unpaid lunch break

Have responsibility for their personal development and completion of the Level 2 business administration apprenticeship standard Motivated, reliable and trustworthy Good interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrates a professional appearance in behaviour and manner Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload, and manage time and workload efficiently Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy with task

Ability to work on own initiative independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience of teamwork

Minimum of 4 GSCE’s or equivalent (this must include A – D in Maths and English Language or equivalent) Commitment to work towards and complete Level 2 Customer Services apprenticeship.

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
