We want to recruit a Solicitor Apprentice under the Solicitors Apprenticeship Programme to strengthen our team to start from 23rd September 2019. Our Solicitor Apprentice will gain excellent and hands on training. We are a Lexcel Accredited practice. To be eligible to apply candidates must have or be predicted to have three A-Levels at grade 'B' at (A2).
This is an ideal opportunity for a college leaver who is a resident of and/or schooled within the London Borough of Waltham Forest.Salary circa £22k.
Please note that the interviews for this position are on Friday 6thSeptember 2019.
Our solicitor apprentice will work in our different teams over the six-year period.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will have the confidence to deal with various individuals and groups. You will be supported to undertake recognised qualifications whilst gaining invaluable on-the-job experience. You will need to be a team player, reliable, adaptable, conscientious, and able to work to instructions.

Other Information:
This is a monthly paid post and you are required to work a month in lieu, and you will be entitled to receive annual leave in accordance with the Council's terms and conditions. The starting salary will be £22,377 per annum.
You are responsible for funding your own travel to and from your place of work.
You must conduct yourself in a safe and diligent manner and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
You must uphold and promote the company policies and procedures, promoting those specifically to your area of work, including Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding.

- Applying legal knowledge and commercial judgement to produce solutions which meet clients' needs and address their commercial or personal circumstances
- Deploying the full range of legal skills - research, interviewing and advising, negotiation, drafting, communicating orally and in writing
- Establishing and maintaining effective and professional relationships with clients and other people
- Managing yourself and your work effectively
- Working with the legal team to complete transaction processes
- Processing contracts, amending documents where necessary, and ensuring that files are kept up to date
- Assisting with drafting
