Andy File Associates Limited are working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.

Our client is a unique ABS and provides a range of services which include advising on Personal Injury matters, assessing the merits of cases, dealing with litigated cases and advising on settlement agreements.

We are now looking for a Legal Advisor who has a passion for customer service and an understanding of Personal Injury to join their team based in Sheffield, this role ultimately reports to the Head of Legal Practice, but to the team leader for day-to-day matters

Overview of the Role

To communicate with clients via various methods but primarily by the telephone in order to take their instructions in connection with legal claims and to provide basic legal advice. This role would suit a graduate with a law degree looking to start their career with a forward thinking organisation.

Key Accountabilities & Tasks

* To provide preliminary general legal advice based on the experience and capability of the post-holder

* To contact clients primarily over the telephone, and in writing or by email

* To contact third parties by telephone to instigate initial investigations

* To input the necessary data onto the system

* To maintain and keep updated the case management system

* To provide excellent customer care in line with required service level agreements and audits

* To answer all inbound calls and make all outbound calls in a prompt and professional manner to agreed departmental standards

* To meet strict deadlines and to comply with SLAs and KPIs of the business

* To perform general administration tasks

* To undertake any tasks which may be required to ensure the smooth running of the department

* To adhere to Solicitors Regulation Authority and data protection regulations

It is essential that you:

* Are able to prioritise workload

* Can work to deadlines in a fast paced environment and meet targets/deadlines

* Can work on your own initiative and as part of a team

* Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills

* Demonstrate questioning and listening skills as well as research

* Have an excellent telephone manner

Technical skills and Qualifications

* Legal qualification to degree level is essential

* Experience in providing basic legal advice preferred

* Good standard of spoken and written English required

* Competent use of MS Word and Excel required


* Experience of working in a customer care environment

* Experience of working in a telephone based role is preferred

* Experience of working in an in a legal environment

* Competent use of Case Management Systems advantageous but not essential

Excellent benefits to include: 23 days holiday to start increasing by 1 day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days, free parking and more

Hours of work: 35 hours per week between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, 8-4, 9-5, 10-6 and 11-7 (shifts are allocated 6 months in advance)
