DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
This is an exciting time to work for Dover District Council, with a number of regeneration initiatives coming to fruition.

This new apprenticeship will work closely with the Parking team to assist with day-to-day running of the parking team, including liaison with Civil Enforcement Officers, Council Officers, general public and members (Councillors).

The post will support and assist with:

Assisting with day-to-day 
Parking Operations functions; taking phone calls, answering emails relating to parking queries and associated administrative duties. 
Work with partner organisations to develop a practical, realistic delivery of the prioritised Parking Strategy objectives. 
Assist the team with advice and guidance to potential and established industry members and businesses in the sector as appropriate. 
Support the team with Disabled Bay applications, writing reports associated with the applications and working with partners to arrange installation of bays. 
Checking relevant applications to ensure the information supplied is correct. 
Support the team and other Council officers.


HOURS
Monday to Friday
9am – 5pm
1 hour lunchbreak (unpaid)

£216.45 per week

Ability to communicate professionally – both written and oral.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A* – D GCSE English and Maths


TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION
