Patient Services Apprentice in Rural GP
A GP Practice with Dispensary in Sellindge, near Ashford, Kent. 2 GP partners offering Doctor, Nurse, Physio and Ear, Nose & Throat consultations and treatments.
DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
An exciting opportunity to be part of our friendly team; greeting and assisting patients at our reception areas, while working towards a level 2 customer services qualification.
Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional. This may be for GP or nurse/HCA clinics, or any other service as required.
37 ½ hours
Monday to Friday (inclusive)
7 ½ hours per day (exact start & finish times to be decided)
30 minute unpaid lunch break
£187.50 per week (£5 per hour)
Good computer skills
– Microsoft Office

– Printing and scanning
– Database knowledge
Good written skills in English

A* – D GCSE English and Maths
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
